The Music Department offers all students the opportunity to explore creative music making through playing, making and improvising. Learning is through practical application across a range of instruments and technology. Our Key Stage 3 curriculum develops ensemble playing through our class band approach at Years 8 and 9. The subject is taught by specialist music teachers with a team of peripatetic staff delivering the instrumental enrichment programme. Music clubs and ensembles are open to all students and cover diverse musical interests from singing to record production. Industry links and partnership working provide students with opportunities to experience immersive learning outside the classroom. We run a GCSE option at Key Stage 4.
