Pupil Premium Spending

For 2014-15 the school was allocated £308,742 in Pupil Premium funding. This money was earmarked for a number of projects to support our most vulnerable students, with the aim of closing the gap in terms of outcomes between our most vulnerable students and the rest of the school.

Our primary strategy for supporting all students is outstanding classroom teaching and learning. We recognise however that for some students additional input is required to ensure that they reach our rigorous demands in terms of academic progress, attendance and community engagement. In order to support our expectations a number of projects have been funded through the Pupil Premium allocation.

Each project has a clear objective and plans for evaluation of impact are in place as well as completed evaluations where possible.

We recognise that receipt of Free School Meals does not necessarily mean that students are socially disadvantaged and equally that not being in receipt of Free School Meals does not mean that students are not socially disadvantaged.

We reserve the right to allocate our pupils to Pupil Premium funding to students that the school has legitimately identified as being socially disadvantaged, in order to support their meeting of our high demands in terms of academic progress, attendance and community engagement.
